Learning without teacher

Learning the violin can be approached in different ways, the way that i propose,  is come from my personal experience.

All methods i have found have been written by someone who has learned with teachers. I was not in this situation. 

Lots of people say "you must begin violin when you are young" . I was not in in this situation.

All I can say is that’s possible to learn violin without teacher even if you are not young, if you really want to play violin, you'll play and i can help you.

Learning an instrument can also be compared to learning a foreign language. At the beginning you learn some words, you try to imitate some intonations in order to express yourself in this new language.

The violin is firstly a means of expression, you must approach it by this way. The violin can express feelings in many ways, with infinity colours.

You will discover that the violin is the richest tool for express yourself. In each country, district, village, voice and intonation are different. It's the same with violin, you begin to imitated as a child learns the language of his parents and then you shall personalize your sound with your life, your style, it will be your own expression.

My method consists of two main parts, a section devoted to the discovery of the instrument and then playing some tunes. I have tested many tricks to learn the violin because nobody could help me. Some of them were not performing. Finally, I kept the most effective and built an effective pedagogy.

You'll also find in my book the basics foundations needed to begin your apprentice in good conditions.

Such as with other instruments, a sensation of not making progress occurs after a certain time, it is natural, it's a little like the growth of a tree that following the seasons. When you have that feeling of not making any progress, start learning a new tune or restart a previous tune that you have played a long time ago. Play also with other musicians and make a record of your interpretation in order to correct and measure your Progress. You discover new things that you have missed at the beginning, and this will help you progress further.

Let's choose some goals for yourself, such as two or three tunes for a party with friends or family, a birthday, wedding, event, a lunch ... There are so many opportunities and may even without pretext, you can play in the street, in a bar, and perhaps one day to make others happy with your violin, even if it's only for some minutes. This will encourage you to increase your performances and continue your research.
